A Cliche Problem That Our Community is Facing.

Different barangay administrations have come and go in our community. The public has heard unprecedented number of projects that each administration plans to implement that has resulted in thousands of nothing. For years, the citizens living in Amparo have trusted different sets of barangay officials to implement projects that will make our community a better place to live in. Sadly, they did otherwise. We never expected them to solve widespread big problems that needs a lot of funding but for every set of officials that will be voted on by our people, we at least expect them to solve the small community problems that we are facing and the most cliche one is — Improper Waste Management and Disposal.

This problem has been the problem of our society ever since and was not yet solved despite of the different generations of officials that came to our community. As small as it seems, this problem results to a whole lot bigger issues that our neighborhood if not now, will face later on. This incoming issues that are consequences of improper waste management and disposal are the main purpose of this campaign. I aim to enlighten those in our community to practice proper waste management and disposal.

Garbage problems are the most common problem of almost every community in our country. As small as it seems, this problem results into multiple consequences that are much complicated than you think; the very famous POLLUTION. We all know that our waste contributes to the progressing growth of pollution in our country as well as in our community. It makes us prone to a lot of diseases which is unhealthy for us. Our polluted community is killing us slowly and yet we do not give it a glance.

It is natural to produce wastes and garbage. What is unnatural is our way of disposing it. Proper waste management and disposal should be observed in our community to help lessen the garbage problems of our society. A simple “Tapat ko, Linis ko” is a good way to encourage people to at least clean their own areas if they cannot participate in community-wide cleaning projects.

Always remember that it always starts within ourselves. Proper discipline in throwing our trashes, segregating our wastes, and cleaning our own mess is a good way to start. Garbage and waste has been a problem of our community for as long as I can remember and yet nothing happens. We expect too much in our officials but have we done our part? Let us eliminate this problem and make our community a clean, habitable, and eco-friendly society to live in.
